The Bronx Defenders Begins Screenings of “Redefining Holistic Defense: Stories of Holistic Advocacy”

The Bronx Defenders will screen its new training video, “Redefining Holistic Defense: Stories of Holistic Advocacy,” for the first time on Wednesday, September 25th at Berkeley Law.

Berkeley Law
Boalt Hall, Room 100
12:45 to 1:45 pm

A project of The Center for Holistic Defense, “Redefining Holistic Defense,” follows the stories of four South Bronx residents caught in the criminal justice system, and how The Bronx Defenders helps them fight their cases and stabilize their lives. Erica, Pedro, Augustin, and Wendy are not just facing jail time, they are at risk of losing everything that matters to them – their kids, their homes, their jobs, and even their country. Using Holistic Defense, zealous teams of lawyers, social workers and advocates from The Bronx Defenders take on their clients’ criminal cases and fight to avoid the life-shattering collateral consequences of a criminal charge in 21st-Century America.

The Bronx Defenders will be screening “Redefining Holistic Defense” at public defender offices, civil legal organizations, and law school clinics throughout the country. To request a screening at your organization or a DVD copy of the film, email Alex Sierck at AlexS@BronxDefenders.org.
