Now that he claims to be on hydroxychloroquine, it will likely spark a new run on the pills, which will directly jeopardize my own health by making it harder for me to get the medicine I need to stave off flares.

The first sign I had lupus was when my hair started falling out in clumps. My body ached. My ankles were swollen. I just chalked it up to being a busy criminal defense attorney with the Bronx Defenders. Must be the long hours on my feet in the courtroom, I justified, not letting myself think I might be sick.”
