“The New York City Bar Association today starting at 11:30 a.m. is hosting a discussion of proposals to address historic problems with the policing of Black and Hispanic communities in the city. Present will be representatives from the NYPD, the Mayor’s Office, Bronx Defenders and Communities United for Police Reform. The discussion will be in the form of a webcast and will include remarks by Sheila S. Boston, president of the New York City Bar Association, Dawit Getachew of the Bronx Defenders, Joo Hyun-Kang of Communities United for Police reform, Deanna Logan of the Mayor’s Office for Criminal Justice and First Deputy Commissioner Benjamin Tucker of the NYC Police Department.”
