Originally from Harlem, Shakyra Brown (she/her/hers) has seen firsthand the extent to which the criminal justice system has negatively impacted her community. This has motivated her work as an advocate. Shakrya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from The City College of New York, where she was a member of the Skadden Arps Honors Program in Legal Studies.
