Lawrence Stone Macbeth (Attorney, Criminal Defense Practice)


Stone MacBeth (he/him/his) received his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School. While at Colorado Law, Stone was a student attorney in the Criminal and Immigration Defense Clinic, worked as a team leader with the Korey Wise Innocence Project, competed in multiple national mock trial competitions, and was inducted into the National Order of Barristers. Throughout his time as a law student, Stone completed internships with the ACLU’s National Criminal Law Reform Project, the Colorado State Public Defender, the Colorado Supreme Court, and a boutique civil rights litigation firm. Prior to joining The Bronx Defenders, Stone worked as a Staff Attorney in the trial division at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia (PDS), where he represented children and adults charged with serious felonies in D.C. Superior Court. Stone received his Bachelor’s Degree from New York University and is a first-generation college and law school graduate.
