Kimesha McDonald
Kimesha McDonald (she, her and hers) obtained her Masters in Social Work from Fordham University. Originally from Jamaica, she spent part of her childhood in the Bronx and interned at the Bronx Defenders in her first year as an MSW student, working with Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies. She brings both personal and internship experience to seek policy changes for families and youth enmeshed within the justice system. After earning her B.S in Criminal Justice from SUNY College at Buffalo, Kimesha worked at the Hope Refugee Drop-in Center working with immigrants just entering the U.S. This is where she developed her passion for helping families from low-income communities and in the continuous fight for policy changes
