Thomas Peterson


Tom received his J.D. from the Roger Williams University School of Law. While at law school, Tom participated in the Roger Williams Criminal Defense Clinic and was a New York Pro Bono Scholar, completing his New York Bar Examination in February 2016, before graduation, and serving as a full time extern at the Bronx Defenders. Tom was an assistant editor of the Roger Williams University Law Review and active in the Roger Williams Pro Bono Collaborative and the Alternative Spring Break Program. He interned at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia and with the Honorable Judge John J. McConnell, Jr. of the United States District Court of Rhode Island. Tom retired from the Navy in 2013 after having completed a twenty-two year career as a Surface Warfare Officer. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College.
