Tania Brief is a staff attorney in the Criminal Defense Practice. She has also served as Pro Bono Coordinator for the Bronx Defenders, building relationships with the many law firms that now provide pro bono assistance to our clients. She joined the Bronx Defenders after having served as a clerk for the Honorable William H. Pauley III, United Stares District Judge for the Southern District of New York, and as a litigation associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. Prior to law school, Tania was an Associate Producer at Learning Matters, Inc., where she produced programs about public education for Frontline and the NewsHour. Tania graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, where she participated in the D.C. Law Students in Court clinic, representing low-income clients in Landlord-Tenant Court. She received her B.A. from Yale University.
