Rivka earned her M.S.W. from the Silver School of Social Work at New York University. While at NYU she interned for two years at programs run by The Jewish Board – Genesis, a Tier I Domestic Violence shelter where she worked with survivors of domestic violence to obtain legal, concrete, and counseling services, and Kaplan House, an independent living program for young men aging out of the foster care system. Upon graduation she continued as Vocational Coordinator and then Team Leader at Kaplan House, and worked with residents to develop the skills and relationship tools to live healthy, safe, independent lives post-care. Before starting graduate school, Rivka interned at The DC Rape Crisis Center. Rivka was a 2015 AVODAH Fellow and holds a B.S. in Family Science from The University of Maryland.
