Pezhmon Zaiim
Pezhmon received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where he was a Mock Trial Board member and a Shapiro Public Service grant recipient. While in law school, Pezhmon interned at The Bronx Defenders and the Office of the Public Defender in Alexandria, Virginia. As a Student Attorney in the D.C. Law Students in Court clinical program, Pezhmon represented people in criminal defense cases in D.C. Superior Court. In collaboration with the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project, Pezhmon examined a 1992 murder conviction and authored a memorandum analyzing all potentially exculpatory evidence. Pezhmon also helped indigent clients seal their records of convictions and non-convictions at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Pezhmon received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He speaks Farsi.
