Peggy Owusu


Peggy earned her M.S.W from Loyola University Chicago’s School of Social Work in 2014. During her time there, she interned as a school based social worker at Alain Locke Charter School and at Northwestern University’s Bluhm Legal Clinic. At the Alain Locke Charter School, Peggy provided therapy to at-risk students grades K through 8, and at the Bluhm Legal Clinic she provided supportive counseling to marginalized clients within the different centers of the clinic, and worked collaboratively with attorneys, social workers, and law students on memorandums, mitigation packets, and biopsychosocials. Peggy’s internship experiences fueled her interest in becoming a social worker within the Criminal Defense Practice to help clients affected by the criminal justice system.  Peggy earned her BA in Sociology from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York and is fluent in Twi (Akan).
