Michael Bloch

Mike graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2005.  After law school, Mike clerked for Chief Judge Helen Ginger Berrigan on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, and then in Chicago for Judge Diane P. Wood, on the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.  Before joining The Bronx Defenders, Mike worked for three years as a litigation associate for the law firm of Williams and Connolly LLP in Washington, D.C.  While at Harvard he represented clients charged with crimes in Roxbury District Court as part of the Criminal Justice Institute, worked with the NAACP representing an inmate at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola in post-conviction proceedings and was a member of the winning team in the Ames Moot Court competition.  Mike also spent two years as a criminal defense investigator with the Public Defender Service in Washington, DC after graduating cum laude from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Government.
