Mattie Liskow graduated cum laude from New York University School of Law, where she was a Vanderbilt Scholar, a Florence Allen Scholar, and a recipient of the Ann Petlock Memorial Prize for her work in the year-long Federal Defenders Clinic. While in law school, Mattie was an Intake Manager and advocate for the Suspension Representation Project, a co-leader of the NYU Defender Collective, and an Articles Editor on the Annual Survey of American Law. She spent her summers interning with the Bronx Defenders’ Family Defense Practice and the Knox County Public Defender’s Community Law Office in Knoxville, TN. Prior to law school, Mattie spent two years working as a case manager at the Red Hook Community Justice Center. Mattie holds a Masters in Social Work from the Silver School of Social Work at N.Y.U. and a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
