Marian Mikhail

Marian received her J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School in 2017, where she was awarded the post-graduate George Barrett Social Justice Fellowship to conduct a criminal justice project for The Bronx Defenders. While attending law school, Marian served as a trial clerk for the Office of Federal Public Defender in both the Central District of California and Middle District of Tennessee, and also interned at the Nashville Metropolitan Public Defender and Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Marian was Editor in Chief of the Vanderbilt Environmental Law and Policy Annual Review and President of both the Law Students for Social Justice and Middle Eastern Law Students Association. Before law school, Marian worked at Chrysalis Enterprises helping individuals who were previously incarcerated create a sustainable economic livelihood. Marian received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in Peace and Conflict Studies with a Concentration in the Middle East.
