Mara Fleder

Mara is a graduate of Harvard Law School, where she was Co-Executive Director of the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project, a student practice organization dedicated to representing incarcerated clients in prison disciplinary hearings and parole proceedings. She comes to The Bronx Defenders as a 2013 Skadden Fellow. While in law school, Mara was a student attorney with the Harvard Criminal Justice Institute, and the Immigration and Refugee Clinic. She was also a member of the Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review. She spent her 1L summer at New York County Defender Services and her 2L summer with The Bronx Defenders. Mara received her B.A. in Art History and Psychology from Tufts University.
