Malika received her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was a Root-Tilden-Kern, D’Agostino scholar. While at NYU, Malika was the Director of the Suspension Representation Project (SRP), participated in the Litigation, Organizing and Systemic Change Clinic, and the Juvenile Defender Clinic. She spent her first summer of law school in Nepal with the International Legal Foundation, and her second summer with The Bronx Defenders. Prior to law school, Malika worked at Choices, a program of The Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services (CASES). Malika holds a B.A. in Politics and Gender & Women’s Studies from Pomona College.
