Leila Tabbaa

Leila received her J.D. from the UC Berkeley School of Law. Prior to joining The Bronx Defenders, she worked for two years as a Staff Attorney at the Office of the Appellate Defender in New York City. At Berkeley, Leila participated in both the Death Penalty Clinic and the East Bay Community Law Center’s Youth Defender Clinic. She also interned at the Capital Post Conviction Project of Louisiana, the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office and the Orleans Public Defenders. Prior to law school, Leila worked as a paralegal in the ACLU’s National Security Project and as a writer/editor in Amman, Jordan. Leila graduated with high honors from Wesleyan University, where she majored in Art History.
