Laurice earned her J.D. from New York University School of law where she was a member of the Capital Defender Clinic. She joins the Bronx Defenders after serving five years as a Court Attorney in Bronx Family Court Attorney for the Honorable Robert Hettleman and the Honorable Marcelle Brandes. Her private practice experience includes two years at Kronish Lieb Weiner & Hellman as a white-collar and commercial litigator, four years at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobsen in the executive compensation and employment department, and solo practice concentrating on family and matrimonial law and mediation. She is dual-certified in civil and matrimonial mediation, and volunteered for the Arbitration and Mediation panel of the Joint Committee on Fee Disputes and Conciliation of the New York County Bar Association. In between legal roles, Laurice worked in talent and business development a legal services start-up, and led a learning and development department at McKinsey & Company. Laurice received her B.A. in Theater and German from Barnard College, where she graduated cum laude.
