Karen received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. Following graduation, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sallyanne Floria, Assignment Judge, Essex County in the Superior Court of New Jersey. While at Seton Hall, Karen participated in the Family Law Clinic, the Southern District of New York Representation in Mediation Practicum, and was named a Charles H. Revson Public Interest Fellow. She interned with the Catholic Charities of Newark Immigration Assistance Program, the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice, and New York Legal Assistance Group. Prior to law school, Karen earned her M.S.W. from the Silver School of Social Work at New York University. She holds a B.A. in International Development Studies from McGill University.
