Josh graduated cum laude from New York University School of Law in 2012. Prior to joining The Bronx Defenders, Josh worked as a Staff Attorney in the Felony Trials Division of Orleans Public Defenders. During law school, he participated in the Advanced Immigrant Rights Clinic, where he represented a client in a fight against deportation, and litigated a FOIA claim against Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Josh authored a report, Insecure Communities, Devastated Families, based on data received from that litigation. He received the Ann Petluck Poses prize for outstanding clinical work at NYU. Josh was an Editor-at-Large for the Review of Law and Social Change, and a member of the Trial Advocacy Society. Josh holds a B.A. in Latin American Studies from The University of California at Berkeley, where he graduated with High Distinction.
