Jim Keniff


Jim earned his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School, where he was the Administrative Manager of the Michigan Journal of Gender and Law and a Legal Writing Instructor for the school’s legal writing program. After law school, Jim served as a law clerk for the Honorable Patrick J. Duggan in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Jim came to The Bronx Defenders after serving as a Partner at Reddin-Eliou & Kenniff, where he devoted his legal practice to contested matrimonial and family law matters.  He also practiced family law as an associate at John A. Gemelli, P.C. He also has litigation experience while working  as an Associate in Securities and Complex Litigation at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft  and as an Associate in Labor and Employment Litigation at Rains & Pogrebin, P.C. Jim also holds a B.A. in Psychology from Hofstra University, where he graduated cum laude as a four-time Provost Scholar.
