Jacob Chin received his J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law. While in law school, he represented people charged with misdemeanors in the Criminal Defense Clinic and was a research assistant to Professor Steve Zeidman. He was a law clerk at Brooklyn Defender Services, The Bronx Defenders, and the Legal Aid Society. Jacob was a judicial extern to the Hon. Jenny Rivera of the New York Court of Appeals. He was a teaching assistant for Evidence, Torts, and Judicial Writing courses. He was on the executive board for the Black Law Students Association and a staff member for the CUNY Law Review. Prior to law school, Jacob worked as an Analyst for Ramsey County Corrections in Minnesota, where he evaluated best practices for youth involved in the corrections system. He received his B.A. from Boston College and his Master of Public Policy from the University of Minnesota. Jacob speaks Spanish conversationally.
