Ilana received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, where she was a member of the Journal of Health and Biomedical Law. Following graduation, she worked as a law graduate at The Brooklyn Family Defense Project. Ilana also worked at The Door’s Legal Services Center, where she represented undocumented immigrant youth in Special Immigrant Juvenile Status proceedings in Family Court and in administrative hearings at the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. Prior to joining The Bronx Defenders, Ilana was a staff attorney at the Center for Family Representation where she defended parents in child abuse and neglect cases in Queens County Family Court. Ilana received her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University.
