Emma Noftz

Emma received her J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law where she received the Michael F. Curtin Pro Bono Award, Extra Mile and Marathon Awards for public service, and the Weissman Scholarship. In law school, she served as President of Students for Public Interest Law and Treasurer of the Trial Advocacy Team. She interned for the San Francisco Public Defender, New Orleans Public Defenders, Federal Public Defender for the District of Columbia, Maryland Office of the Public Defender in Prince George’s County, and Virginia Office of the Public Defender in Alexandria. Prior to law school, Emma served as an intern investigator for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia and intern for Judge Jerome Nadler at the Superior Court of Santa Clara County, California. She holds a B.A. cum laude from American University. Emma came to the Bronx Defenders after serving as a Criminal Defense Attorney at the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn.
