Dianesa Rodriguez-Chevalier


Dianesa Rodriguez-Chevalier (she/her/hers) graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from Mercy College. Dianesa has worked and volunteered with various community-based nonprofit organizations since 2009, including Boricua CHC, Families for Freedom, and Apicha CHC, which is a privately funded organization dedicated to working with LGBTQ clients in need, as well community education on HIV specialty care and Transgender primary care services. Previously, Dianesa worked at Argus Community Inc. as a Care Advocate Coordinator, advocating for chronically ill and mentally disabled individuals who are disproportionately detained in psychiatric hospitals and the criminal justice system. Dianesa is very passionate about working with vulnerable and underserved populations, especially immigrant families. Dianesa continues to be a member of Families for Freedom and volunteers in advocating for individuals and families that are detained by ICE. Dianesa is Bronx native and speaks Spanish.
