David Shalleck-Klein graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from New York University School of Law, where he was a member of the Family Defense and Juvenile Defender clinics and was the recipient of the Christian Jarecki ’98 Memorial Prize for outstanding work and commitment in a law clinic. David was a student articles development editor and staff editor for the NYU Review of Law & Social Change. During law school, David spent his summers at the Federal Defender Program in Atlanta, GA and at O’Melveny & Myers in Washington, D.C. Prior to law school, David worked at a political and public affairs consulting firm in Washington, D.C. and served as Policy and Communications Director for the Hector Balderas for United States Senate campaign in New Mexico. David is a magna cum laude graduate of Bates College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
