Daniel received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, graduating with honors. While in law school, Daniel participated in the Challenging Consequences of Mass Incarceration Clinic and the Bronx Defenders Externship He served as a Student Editor for the Journal of Law and Social Problems and taught criminal law to high school students with the High School Law Institute. Daniel interned his first summer with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and his second summer with the law firm Paul Weiss and the Bronx Defenders. Before coming to law school, Daniel was a third-grade teacher in St. Louis, Missouri. Daniel graduated cum laude from Northwestern University where he double-majored in History and Philosophy.
