Cristina received her J.D. from Cornell Law School where she was awarded the Frank H. T. Rhodes Public Interest Law Fellowship. During law school, Cristina participated in the Capital Punishment Clinic and served on the executive board of the Latin American Law Students Association. She also served as a Note Editor of the Cornell Law Review and Teaching Assistant for the Lawyering Program. Cristina spent her law school summers at the Miami Dade Public Defender and The Bronx Defenders. She also spent a semester working as an extern at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Cristina received her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami.
