Andy Diaz

Andy (He, Him, His) graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the fall of 2018 with a B.A. degree in Legal Studies. Prior to joining The Bronx Defenders as a staff member, Andy served as a Legal Administrative Intern at the non-profit organization The Door in the summer of 2016 working with Immigration attorneys in helping undocumented youth try to get their legal immigration documents and other civil services. In the summer of 2018, Andy also served as an Investigator Intern with The Bronx Defenders, whose primary tasks included extensive travel around the Bronx finding and retrieving any surveillance footage and/or witness statements under the direction and instruction of criminal defense attorneys. Outside of legal-related work, Andy is a proud summer youth camp counselor, enjoys traveling, cooking, watching horror films, and spending time with family and close friends. As a proud South Bronx native of Dominican descent, Andy is the first in his family to graduate from a 4-year academic institution and further hopes to go to law school in the near future. Andy is also fluent in Spanish.
