Associate Director, Finance contactAngela Sinclair (she/her/hers) is a seasoned finance expert with over fifteen years of experience working with various nonprofit organizations. Her love for accounting began while she was an intern at the 1199 Benefits Fund and has only grown since. During her free time, she volunteers as board treasurer for New Day-In Home Treatment & Supportive Services, an organization that provides skill-based interventions and support for domestic violence victims, children and families. Angela obtained her Accounting Degree from Long Island University and considers herself a New Yorker, where she resides with her husband and children.

She has worked for non-profits for over 16 years and has over 20 years of administrative experience working in a variety of jobs that have allowed her to help people of all ages. Whether working with young children or older adults, Omayra’s commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those she works with has always been at the forefront of her work.

Growing up and witnessing how unjust our legal system can be has fueled her passion for social justice. Prior to joining The Bronx Defenders, Jaimie worked as an office manager for a diamond manufacturer in New York City. During her time there, she managed the daily operations and administrative functions of the office.

Managing Director of Administration contactMarterra Walker (she/her/hers) comes to The Bronx Defenders with an extensive administrative background and committed to furthering the Bronx Defender’s mission of providing high-quality indigent defense. She has always had an unwavering commitment to social justice and uplifting impoverished communities. During her free time, Marterra mentors college students in the foster care system through the non-profit Of Home, Family, and Future. She holds a degree in Criminal Justice with a Concentration in Law and Due Process from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
